The new app Britney beats Swift to launch

Britney Spears is hot on the heels of social media queen Kim Kardashian as she launches her own mobile app.

The singer, who is currently wowing audiences with her Las Vegas residency, has joined the world of celebrity mobile video games with app Britney Spears: American Dream.
While she’s not the first star to embrace mobile technology, following in the footsteps of other celebrity games such as Katy Perry Pop, Kendall & Kylie, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Britney has beaten superstar Taylor Swift in the app wars as the Shake It Off star’s game is still currently in development - somewhat awkwardly with Glu Mobile, the same company responsible for Britney’s app.
In the Toxic singer’s new game, which she released on Wednesday (18May16), players can customise pop stars-in-the-making, grooming them for success.
Users record hit singles, design their own single cover art, dine at Hollywood restaurants, battle rival singers and perform at a range of venues from the local coffee shop all the way up to a residency in Las Vegas like the 34-year-old singer.
Fans will no doubt love an opportunity to be immersed in the pop star lifestyle, and the game also includes the master version of Britney’s hit Oops!.
I Did It Again plus instrumentals for Toxic, Womanizer and Baby One More Time among others.
Meanwhile on Sunday (22May16) the singer will be presented with the Billboard Millennium Award at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards show in Las Vegas.
The Billboard Millennium Award acknowledges outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry.
To date, there have only been two recipients of this award; Beyonce received the honour in 2011, and it was bestowed posthumously to Whitney Houston in 2012.
Britney has also sold over 100 million albums worldwide and more than 28.
6 million digital singles in the United States alone, making her one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
Her new game is now available from the App Store on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and on Google Play.

Walter Mazzarri signs three-year deal as new manager at Watford

Walter Mazzarri has signed a three-year deal to take over as Watford manager. The former Napoli and Internazionale manager has held talks with the Watford owner, Gino Pozzo, this week and agreed terms on a deal on Friday night.
The 54-year-old has not managed since leaving Inter in 2014 but has spent parts of the past two years in England, learning English. Mazzarri quickly emerged as the favourite to replace Quique Sánchez Flores with Pozzo having been an admirer for a long time. The Watford owner, who also owns Udinese, had been keen for Mazzarri to take over at the Italian club but the timing was never right.
Now, however, Pozzo has got his man. Mazzarri has a long and distinguished coaching career behind him already with four years at Napoli – where Valon Behrami and Miguel Britos, now at Watford, played for him – as well as spells at Pistoiese, Livorno, Reggina and Sampdoria. He prefers to play in a 3-5-2 system.
Watford finished 13th in the Premier League this season, having been promoted under Slavisa Jokanovic in 2015, and reached the FA Cup semi-final. However, their form was disappointing in the new year and Watford announced this month that Flores would leave at the end of the season. After their final game of the season, a 2-2 draw with Sunderland, Flores said: “Watford is now established in the Premier League, so next year is coming more players, more quality.”
